Cheerleaders wanted for Staines FC

A new cheerleading club is looking for local girls to shake their pom-poms and provide some noisy support at Staines FC's home games.

The group, who will be called The Swanettes, will be headed by Lauren Hutchinson, a senior fitness consultant at The Thames Club, in Staines.

Her plan is to recruit at least 10 local girls who will then train and practice at the health club before going in front of the football club's home crowd on Saturday, October 11.

Lauren said: "I'm really excited about launching this new cheerleader squad. It's a great way to keep fit and being part of a team that performs new routines is a real buzz.

"We'd gladly welcome those from Feltham and further afield. It's all about putting together a top class cheerleader squad while at the same time enjoying ourselves, getting fit and making new friends."

Those wanting to be considered for the Swanettes need to attend the audition on Sunday (September 14) at 4pm at The Thames Club, Wheatsheaf Lane, Staines. For further information please call 01784 463100 or visit www.thethamesclub.co.uk
