Nathan John's 50th goal for Bedfont Eagles on Sunday was a bitter-sweet moment.

His U12s side were already six goals down, conceding them all in the first 15 minutes, before he hit his half-century.

Town hall chiefs are still refusing to confirm whether a Bedfont ward councillor will be called to appear before the standards committee for misconduct, three weeks after they discussed his case.

The decision as to whether two complaints made against Labour councillor Jiwan Virk, by fellow councillor Mark Bowen, should be officially investigated, was discussed by members of the committee when they met on October 9.

StoryStar is a writing competition for young people in west London aged 4 - 18. All entries are published on www.hounslowchronicle.co.uk and the winners will receive books for themselves and their school from Random House Children's Books and see their stories printed in the paper.

Creative kids can develop their talent at a series of arty workshops during half-term.

The sessions, from Wednesday to Friday this week, will include planting and painting pots, working on art straw creations, paper animals and abstract canvases.

They will run from 10am-12pm, in Feltham Hill Infants School community room, and families hoping to take part must book in advance. Call parent training coordinator Georgie Edmonds on 07593 198395.

Felt fun with Feltham Arts

Families looking for half-term fun are invited to join Feltham Arts Association for a felt workshop next Wednesday.

Children aged seven and up can come along to Feltham Library community room one, accompanied by an adult, and try their hand making their own felt creations, including balls, belts and badges.

The workshop will run from 2pm-4pm, on October 29, and costs £1.50 per child.

Bedfont Town are looking for a new keeper after army mechanic Dave Burton was called up for duty in the Falklands.

Burton will leave for a tour of duty in the Atlantic next month, where he will be working on building a new airport runway.

Making tracks Bedfont Lakes

Little animal trackers can get a rare insight into who has been roaming the countryside at Bedfont Lakes on a fun footprint day.

Adults and children are welcome to attend the event, 11am-1pm, on November 1, where rangers will be taking groups out to look for signs of wildlife and making plaster casts of animal prints.

Guests are invited to meet at the visitor's centre, beside the Clockhouse Lane entrance, and should wear sturdy footwear.

Here are the results from The Feltham Youth FC games of this weekend.

The Under 17s beat Horsley 8-1 with goals from Ross Ellison 2 , Ben Kendebe 2 , Lewis Wombwell 2 , Stephen Potter and Ramas Sidiqi .

The Under 15 Whites beat Yeading 4-3 in the Middlesex County Cup 2nd Round with goals from Dan Wilson 2 , Charlie Hobbs and Charlie Lawrence.

Fancy- dress and a bunny suit helped them raise £260 towards Breast Cancer Awareness during the Tickled Pink campaign and the following week they spent eight hours cycling to Brighton for Children in Need.

YogaBugs run wild at Bedfont school

yoga-bugs-e.jpgClasses at a Bedfont school have been running wild over the past few months, rescuing circus animals, sailing to Africa and then spiriting themselves home using magic.

The youngsters have been exploring the worlds of yoga and imagination during exciting classes that cleverly combine the two.
