Jobs at risk Bedfont's Welcome Car Finance

Up to 10 jobs could be lost at Welcome Car Finance in Bedfont as the company is set to close.

Parent company Cattles has begun consultation with staff at the Staines Road branch of the loans arm of its operation - which advertises itself as a service for people with bad credit ratings.

The branch in the Griffin Centre stocks about 50 cars and bosses have not yet confirmed when it will close its doors for good.

Welcome has been selling off last year's stock without bringing in new cars since January but once the showroom has been cleared out, bosses say the company can no longer survive.

A statement released by the company said: "Without additional funds to acquire new stock, the business model will become unviable and it is likely that Welcome Car Finance will start to absorb cash."
