A new pre-school has opened in Bedfont in a bid to tackle the poor development of young children in the area.
Little Treasures opened next to Bedfont Junior School in Hatton Road this term to provide child care and early education for children before they reach school age.
A Hounslow Council report earlier this month expressed shock that too many children were turning up to school aged five still in nappies, unable to communicate and lacking basic co-ordination.
A fun day at Frank Towell court in Feltham brought smiles to the faces of residents who had never met before.
Tenants brought some good old-fashioned community spirit to the Glebelands Road estate last week, enjoying a bouncy castle, teacups, a raffle, tombola and face painting.
About 50 people who live in the flats attended the first event of its kind and were treated to cuisines from all over the world by their neighbours.
A public meeting about crime and disorder and the control drinking zone will take place at Feltham library on Thursday September 24 from 6pm-8pm.
This meeting will be the place where the Feltham community will have the opportunity to share information and develop a common understanding around serious issues of community safety and crime and disorder in the borough.
Anyone who lives and works in Feltham is encouraged to come along and use the meeting as a forum to question Feltham Sector Inspector Peter Rusby and community safety officers about any issues concerning them.
An information day for disabled adults will take place at Hounslow Council civic centre on Friday September 11 between 11am and 3pm.
The council and representatives from the voluntary sector will be on hand to give advice about service that are available and to find out what services the people of Hounslow would like introduced.
For more information visit www.hounslow.gov.uk, email disabilitymatters@hounslow.gov.uk or call 020 8583 3164.
The expense claims of Hounslow councillors and officers - which were expected to be published on Tuesday - are not going to be available until January.
In August the council announced that all expenses would be published online from September 1 following a campaign for transparency by the Chronicle.
However, an announcement on the local authority's website this week revealed that the information would be published quarterly, with the first quarter not available until January.
A blood donation session will be held at Feltham assembly hall on Monday September 7.
Anyone can give blood at the Hounslow Road hall between 10am-12.30pm and 2pm-4pm.
Brentford football coaches gave tips to tiny tots at Southville Community Centre last week.
The sessions were part of two weeks of activities on the Bedfont estate which were attended by over 70 children.
Parents were given the opportunity to relax with lunch and a head massage while their children took part in activities including street dancing, cheerleading and football.
